Primitive Reflex Integration Plus
Building Blocks for Brain Development

We help families who have a child with sensory or behavior issues overcome those challenges so they can thrive as they learn and grow.

Primitive Reflexes

When a child is born, they are equipped with a set of primitive reflexes designed to ensure immediate responses to their new environment and changing needs.

Primitive reflexes are automatic, stereotyped movements directed from the brain stem, executed without thought. These reflexes provide rudimentary training for many later voluntary skills.

The primitive reflexes, however, should only have a limited lifespan. If they continue, they can limit a child’s growth in skills and development. Once the reflex is inhibited, the child will then regain abilities for growth and new skills.
